55 Years of Ottinger: 1965-2020
On the 55th anniversary of the founding of the company, Ottinger can today look back on a corporate history characterised by continuous progress and development as well as by commercial success.
The Ottinger company was founded in 1965 by Georg Ottinger, and today, in the second generation of family ownership, is active on an international basis as one of the leading suppliers of snow chains. On the occasion of our 55th anniversary we would like to thank all of our customers and business partners for the long years of partnership and the trustful cooperation.
Ottinger chain systems are used in snowy regions around the world. Sales and marketing outlets and authorised dealers guarantee readiness for delivery and the required services. With the sudden, surprising onset of winter our logistical centre with the most modern type of materials-handling technology provides access to around 200,000 snow chains so that order processes and services can be safeguarded in the short term.
The most modern type of test facilities check our chains for wear resistance and fracture toughness so that the optimum operational requirements can be fulfilled, and are the prerequisite for permanent quality assurance. For our customers’ quality requirements we provide a 5-year long term guarantee with no kilometre limit.
The chain systems developed by us are protected by a large number of industrial property rights, and are tested by TÜV, ÖNORM, Dekra and CE as well as by specialist periodicals, and have been awarded top ratings. They convince through top quality and patented systems that facilitate simple and speedy installation. Ottinger snow and ice chains guarantee the highest degree of safety when used with all types of vehicles, for example cars, trucks, emergency vehicles and commercial vehicles used in snow clearance, as well as in the areas of construction, forestry and agriculture. Whether the vehicles have rear, front or all-wheel drives, or little spare space, Ottinger chains are characterised by the simplicity of their installation. Although there are no more standard chains, we are equipped with CAD technology and flexible production facilities and can thus also manufacture customised products and small series of products.
